Endometrial scratching

During this procedure, a small injury is made to the endometrium using a thin catheter, with the ultimate goal of increasing the implantation rate of the fertilized fetus.
The endometrial injury causes a regeneration reaction which releases hormones and growth factors and the new endometrial tissue growing after the procedure is considered to be more receptive to the embryo.
The best time to perform this procedure is around the 2nd day of the cycle. It is not painful and the woman does not need any preparation beforehand as anesthesia is not used.
